Police are searching for a man who shot two women in the neck with a shotgun in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Both women were shot in the chest and face, while one of the women, a 25-year‑old woman from Perth, was shot in her left leg.
The second victim, a 23-year–old woman in Melbourne’s south-west, was hit in the back.
Police are looking for the suspect.
“We have a lot of officers on scene and we’re trying to locate the individual,” Acting Commissioner of Police Michael O’Connor said.
“The suspect was last seen in the area of the shooting.”
He was described as being of Asian appearance, about 30-years-old with a thin build, short dark hair and a black shirt.””
I’d urge anyone who knows this individual to come forward.
“The man was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans, while a white shirt was seen hanging from his belt.
Police say the incident happened in the north-east suburb of Broadmeadows at around 8:00am.”
I have just received information that there is a man in the street with a gun, but he is still at large,” Acting Chief Commissioner O’Neil said.
He said the police had a number of options to pursue, including the “possibility of a domestic violence crime”.”

A manhunt was launched in the south-east after a report was made to the Greater Manchester Police about shots being fired.”
