The U.S. economy added 151,000 jobs in February, but the unemployment rate remained stuck at 6.9 percent.
In Marin County, the unemployment figure remained at 4.9 per cent, according to the U.N. Department of Labor.
A federal report released Friday showed the U-2 program, which pays workers abroad for the right to return home, lost nearly 6,000 workers in February.
The jobless rate in San Francisco dropped to 5.3 per cent in February from 5.5 per cent a month earlier.
In February, the median monthly wage for San Francisco’s non-teaching employees was $15,096, compared with $17,826 in January, according the report.
